Company Secretary

The ideal candidate will manage a portfolio of clients comprising of public and private companies and providing them with an integrated package of corporate secretarial services and solutions to meet their varied business needs. Remuneration will commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients.
  • Provide advice to clients of both listed and non-listed companies on corporate secretarial matters.
  • Attend Board, Board Committees and General Meetings and the preparation of minutes thereof.
  • Supervise, support and provide guidance to subordinates and ensure all communications with clients are supported with proper documentation and responsibilities to meet deadlines.
  • Provide good client service ensuring clients receive prompt responses to requests and queries.
  • Ensure all statutory and regulatory compliance in the corporate secretariat are met.
  • Support on ad hoc projects, legal research and compliance matters.

Job Requirements

  • Qualified Chartered Secretary or LLB qualification.
  • Associate member of ICSA with a minimum of 8-10 years of relevant working experience in corporate secretarial field, with at least 5 years in a managerial role preferably in a professional firm.
  • Conversant with all aspects of corporate secretarial practice and should have experience in handling corporate secretarial matters of listed companies.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia. Knowledge of Mandarin is an added advantage.
  • Computer literate.
  • Must have good interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) and negotiation skills.
  • Display strong leadership and people management abilities.
  • Able to work independently, lead and motivate a team of professional staff.
  • Meticulous, detailed and deadline-oriented.

Assistant Company Secretary

  • Degree/Advance Diploma/Diploma/Graduate of ICSA.
  • Associate member of ICSA with a minimum of 6 years of relevant working experience in corporate secretarial field preferably in a professional firm.
  • Conversant with all aspects of corporate secretarial practice and should have experience in handling corporate secretarial matters of listed companies.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia. Knowledge of Mandarin is an added advantage.
  • Computer literate.
  • Must have good interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills.
  • A leader and team player with strong sense of responsibility, initiatives and a can do attitude.
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision from the superior, lead and motivate a team of professional staff.
  • Meticulous, detailed and deadline-oriented.

Senior Corporate Secretarial Executive

The ideal candidate will be responsible for clients’ corporate secretarial duties. Remuneration will commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Job Responsibilities

  • Handle all aspects of clients’ corporate secretarial matters of both listed and non-listed companies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with incorporation of companies, registration of foreign entities and limited liability partnerships.
  • Prepare resolutions, minutes of meetings and ancillary documents.
  • Monitor and ensure that the statutory registers are properly kept and updated, and submission of statutory returns to CCM.
  • Striking off companies.
  • Sent reminders and correspondences to clients for any changes and any compliance issue and other follow-up functions.
  • Liaise with CCM and other regulators, advisors and auditors.
  • Perform other ad-hoc secretarial duties and administrative tasks assigned by superior.

Job Requirements

  • Degree/Advance Diploma/Diploma/Graduate of ICSA or currently pursuing ICSA course. Those who do not hold the relevant qualifications but have the relevant working experience are also welcome to apply.
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in company secretarial practice.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia. Knowledge of Mandarin is an added advantage.
  • Computer literate and familiar with MyCoID and MBRS.
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Team player with strong sense of responsibility, high standard of integrity, proactive, confident and possess the drive for self-development.
  • Ability to multi-task, take challenges and meet tight deadlines.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills.
